Guide Review - The Chipper: Restaurant Review

It's hard to believe that a neighborhood full of Irish bars didn't have a good fish and chips place before The Chipper arrived. The freshly battered and fried fish & chips($7.95) is prepared to order with your choice of cod or haddock. They batter emerges golden brown and the crispy coating compliments the flakey fish inside perfectly, without being greasy or overwhelming. The serving of fish is generous and the chips are enough to share. Enhance your fries with curry sauce, garlic mayo or gravy for $1.50, though I prefer malt vinegar. Smoked cod in batter($7.95), battered sausages($3.50), chicken curry($4.95) and veggie burgers($3.75) work to round out the menu. Bright green mushy peas($1.50) or crisp onion rings($2.50) complete the meal.
