Guide Review - Chola: Restaurant Review

A soothing honey-colored interior, friendly faces greeting us and fragrances wafting from the buffet table welcomed us in from the cold gray rain outside. Platters of complimentary appetizers appeared at our elbows just as we removed our coats, including breads, chickpea and lentil stews and an assortment of pickles. The buffet table laden with delicious Shrimp Jalfrez, Bindi Masala, the perennial favorite, Chicken Tikka Masala, an assortment of lamb and fish curries, breads and rice dishes. If you can manage it, save room for the carrot halwa for dessert. If you’re feeling like cheating, it can count as a full serving of vegetables, but be warned that this is a very rich dish made with lots of butter, so avoid the impulse to gorge!
