2008 Bryant Park Movie Schedule

Movies are show on a large screen in Bryant Park at dusk on Monday nights from June through August. Access to the grass for blankets and picnicking is available at 5:00 p.m. Bryant Park films begin at sunset, typically between 8 and 9 p.m. If the weather is uncooperative, shows are canceled and will not be rescheduled. For more information, call: 212-512-5700.

Some tips:

  • Get there early. Typically, when they open the grass, there are people waiting to set down their blankets. If possible, get one member of your group to be there waiting by about 4:30 or so to ensure you get a good seat and ample space.
  • It can get super crowded, especially the closer it gets to show time -- I recommend using cell phones and balloons to help your group find each other in time for the Bryant Park movie. [Please dispose of your balloons in the trash -- releasing them into the air is essentially littering and can be harmful to wildlife.]
  • Bringing food and drinks to Bryant Park is great and makes for a very fun time, but be aware that the bathroom can be tough to get to with the crowds, especially once the movie starts.
  • There is a public restroom on the northwest corner of the Bryant Park green, which I have found to be very clean, because there is always an attendant.
