Celebrity Owned Restaurants in NYC

New York City is well known for being home to many celebrity figures -- but did you realize that many top celebrities actually own restaurants in New York City? You won't see them behind the grill or serving you, but each of them has left a fingerprint on their restaurant.
Babbo
FoodTV's Mario Batali serves up modern Italian food at this Greenwich Village restaurant.
Bolo Restaurant
Bobby Flay, of FoodTV fame, serves up fabulous contemporary Spanish cuisine at Bolo on East 22nd Street.
Britney Spears: NYLA
Britney Spears is part-owner of NYLA, which is scheduled to open June 27, 2002. The restaurant focuses on American bistro fare and the logo was created in Britney's own handwriting.
Luahn
This Union Square restaurant and lounge is owned by Stephen Baldwin. The restaurant focuses on American fare and seafood, while the lounge focuses on celebrities.
Mesa Grill
Located in Union Square, Bobby Flay's restaurant serves southwestern food with flair, and some fabulous margaritas as well.
Michael Jordan's The Steakhouse, NYC
Located at 23 Vanderbilt Avenue in Grand Central Terminal. Phone: 212-655-2300. Reservations are required at this restaurant specializing in steaks and chops. It can accommodate groups of 20-60 and has three private rooms available.
Nobu
Robert Deniro is part-owner of this amazing Japanese restaurant -- but beware, the quality of the food and the restaurant's reputation command quite a price. Chef and owner Nobu Matsuhisa is famous in his own regard.
Planet Hollywood
The New York City branch of this chain owned by Whoopi Goldberg, Demi Moore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sly Stallone, and Bruce Willis is located in Times Square.
The Cutting Room
Chris Noth, who plays Mr. Big in "Sex and the City," is a partner at this club and late-night eatery on West 24th Street that is known for celebrity spottings.
Tribeca Grill
Robert Deniro's restaurant is known for it's food more than the celebrity's involvement. The Mediterrean fare is notably good and popular with many celebrities including Harvey Keitel. Bill Murray, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Sean Penn, Ed Harris, Lou Diamond Philips and Christopher Walken are among the restaurant's celebrity investors.
