Kwanzaa Celebrations in New York City

Kwanzaa is an African-American holiday that has been celebrated since the 1960s from December 26th - January 1st. Owing to New York City's rich ethnic diversity, there are Kwanzaa celebrations throughout the city.

From December 19 - 21, 2002 the New Jersey Performing Arts Center will be hosting performances and a seasonal market place, as well as a variety of children's exhibits and activities.
